San Antonio Tourist Guide Book

Table of Contents

The best part about this book is that even if you're not into walking tours, it's a great book to have for those locations at which you will find yourself.  Spots like the Alamo, La Villita, Main and Military Plazas and Market Square.  When you find yourself at a particular place, just thumb to the location in the guide and read about the history of the area.

The Guide is 99 pages and designed to be done in roughly two to three hours, depending upon how long one stays at any one place.  Besides a very brief historical introduction to San Antonio, just to put some perspective on the subject, the book includes 27 stops where I describe things of historical interest that occurred at or near these stops.  See the map for a location of these stops: Map of 27 stops.  As a sample of the type of information presented in the book, here are portions of two stops; site no. 2, The Roosevelt Bar and site no. 17, Council House Fight
